Crosscut Takes Gold, Silver & Bronze in Canadian Artisan Spirit Competition

Crosscut Distillery comes out on top in Canadian Artisan Spirit Competition this February, 2021 with four of their handcrafted spirits. Artisan Distillers Canada hosts the competition for its fourth year celebrating distilleries from all across Canada. A panel of judges who exemplify knowledge and vast experience with spirits and a strong influence in the industry conducted a blind tasting evaluating spirits on nose, palate, finish and quality. Crosscut Distillery’s Triple Grain Vodka placed Gold which represents an excellent example of style and is considered a rare honour. Following closely behind is Crosscut’s Gin Trial #26 and Barrel Aged Gin with Silver medals, and their Barrelled Mocha Liqueur with Bronze.

"Canada’s microdistillers are making so many interesting and delectable spirits it’s hard to know which ones to try first. With a strong range of entries and a credible judging panel, The Canadian Artisan Spirit Competition highlights the best of the best. This, in turn, tells consumers where to start exploring them." - Davin de Kergommeaux, Author of the award winning book, Canadian Whisky: The New Portable Expert
